• Potes: the quaint old market town (which hold a market every Monday morning selling local produce such as cheeses, honey and wines) in the heart of the Liebana region, with its Infantado Tower (15th. century) and many cafes and restaurants.
• Santa Toribio Monastery: (6th century) situated outside Potes is one of the most important religious sites of the Catholic faith and home to the 'Lignum Crucis' part of the original cross.
• Spectacular cable car: a ride from Fuete De takes you to 2000m above sea level, it is possible to walk back down from the top along marked paths.
• Ruta de Treviso: a classic area with a popular walk from the Hermida Gorge to the village of Treviso where the famous Treviso blue chees is handmade.
• Visitor Centre: Sotama a multi-lingual well presented centre which offers history and culture.
• Bear Centre: or La Casa Del Oso Cantabrico in the village of Verdena in the Palentina mountains.
• Carveceno Zoo: situated in old ironstone workings.  A splendid day out with spectacular scenery and collection of animals.
• Bulnes and the Funicular: a tunnel railway that climbs 2km to Bulnes, or walk to the village of Cain through the Cares Gorge.

Beaches of the Cost Verde:  take your pick from secluded coves with high cliffs and quaint fishing villages or large stretches of sand in towns such as Llanes or San Vincente del la Barquera.  Our nearest beach is approximately 40 minutes by car.
